PhD project: The contribution of agrobiodiversity to organic and low input maize production and specific shifts in maize-weed interactions
Objectives: the research highlights the feasibility of using cropping system diversification as an effective strategy to improve the overall productivity and sustainability of the systems. The hypothesis is that cropping systems based on higher genotype, species and management diversification could increase crop yield, yield stability, production quality and weed suppression.
Nevena successfully defended her PhD thesis in October 2015.
